Martinez is directly northeast of San Francisco and is located at the center of the region giving easy access to many other cities in the East Bay. Downtown Oakland and San Francisco are 27 and 36 miles respectively. San Jose and the state capital, Sacramento, are both approximately one hour away. The Amtrak station in downtown Martinez gives access via the Capitol Corridor to the rest of the bay area and beyond. Martinez is serviced by numerous County Connection lines and two additional connecting lines from WestCAT and Tri Delta transit.
